Still looking for a best friend
I'm still looking for a worthwhile candidate after over a year of searching. Could it be you? "Think where man's most begins and ends And say my was I had such friends." My best friend was a lady, and I'd only known her about 2 years (yet it felt like forever). We were so good together, we were sometimes mistaken for a couple. She got married, converted to a different , and now she's written me out of her life. There was never any romance or attraction between us (which is what made us such great friends), and I loved her dearly. We have talked about anything and everything, with no topic off-limits. She knew everything about me, and I, her. We went out for special events, to museums, concerts, lunch/dinner, drives, etc. We were there for each other in troubling times and given a shoulder to cry on, and hugs when our hearts were broken. And now I seek her successor (for she can never be replaced). What would we do? Maybe catch a movie, go for a bike ride (I have a spare), a hike, drive thru 's Cove, gaze at the stars, go to concerts, exhibits, road trips to anywhere. Here's a bit more about myself... SWM, tall, hetero, blue eyes. Birth signs don't mean anything. Remember Shakespeare: "The fault, Brutus, is not in our stars, But in ourselves, that we are underlings." Non-smoker, non-drinker, non-tobacco, or druggie. I love , so there's no hunting or fishing. My favorite activities are cycling, hiking, and generally being outdoors. My friends didn't care for that. They'd prefer to sit on the couch, or their spouse/SO wouldn't let them come out to play. If you have a bicycle and ride, you're at the top of my candidate list. Weekends you'll find me pedaling around town enjoying the views and taking pix. Or watching the boats on the river, checking out the Square, or anything else that's happening downtown. Indoors, I like old and new sci-fi, action, , and adventure . My favorite author is Poe. Music- , British invasion, '-speak and text-speak make my brain hurt. With the right person, anything can be enjoyable. Life is an experience best shared. Please Don't message me if: You like playing mind , or are high-maintenance. I've had quite enough of that, thanks. You smoke, and/or are a drunk; an addict, or have mental issues. You're a guy. I have too many guy friends already, but not nearly enough lady friends. Remember, this is strictly platonic, with no chance of ever dating or romance. I can never date a best friend, no matter how awesome she is. And please don't try to get me to date you after I start liking you as a friend. The results recently were unpleasant. If you're not serious about wanting a friend, don't reply and waste my time or yours. Please live in the Knoxville area! Lastly, should you decide to reply, use more than a few sentences. Tell me about yourself and how great a friend you can be. Excite me. Intrigue me. If your reply reads like spam, it'll get deleted and you will receive no reply.
